Amino acid analysis (using AccQ-Tag chemistry or Pico-Tag) of a peptide
containing hydroxyproline following a vapor phase acid hydrolysis gives the
same peak on the column that you would get from derivatizing pure
4-trans-hydroxy-L-proline; I haven't seen any decomposition or
transformation as a result of acid hydrolysis.
