Dissolving samples for 477

Dear All,
Over the years I have used formic acid
to take up dry samples and load them on to the
gfc disc on my 477A. Recently I bought some ACS
grade 98% formic and tried doing a test
run with it. It gave several large peaks in the
HPLC making it unusable.
What do other people use for this
purpose? If anybody is using formic do they
have a supply that does not give this high
background?

Thanks

Will Mawby
