At ASMS '99, Bob Croes gave a poster on analysis of underivatized amino acids
by Hydrophilic Interaction Chromatography (HILIC) with MS/MS detection. He
used isocratic conditions with about 6' analysis time per sample. One of our
customers has subsequently used the method successfully for selenomethionine.
I'd give you more details but the ABRF seems to be sensitive these days to
postings from someone in a company that might be construed as promoting its
products. Contact me if you want more information.

Dear All,
Does anyone know where selenomethionine runs during amino acid
analysis. I am using a standard Pico-Tag system. Is there a method of
detecting this compound as a free amino acid?
