Greetings:

I inadvertantly posted this on September 28 with an incorrect link to
our Human Resources on-line job listing. Here's the position
announcement again, with the correct link below.

The Analytical Proteomics Core Laboratory of the Southwest Environmental
Health Sciences Center (SWEHSC) and the Arizona Cancer Center (ACC)
seeks a Facility Manager. This facility provides support to
investigators in the SWEHSC and ACC in the analysis and characterization
of chemicals and biochemicals, particularly proteins and peptides. This
individual will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the Core and
will report to the Director of the Analytical Proteomics Core. Specific
responsibilities include operation and maintenance of laboratory
instrumentation, including Finnigan TSQ7000 and LCQ instruments and
related data systems, supervision of technical staff, and consultation
with Core users. Minimum qualifications include a graduate degree
(Ph.D. preferred) in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology
or other relevant discipline and at least 2-4 years experience in
instrumental analysis. Experience with mass spectrometry
instrumentation, particularly LC-MS, Windows NT and UNIX servers is
essential. Experience with protein and peptide analytical techniques is
highly desireable.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is interested in
applications of proteomics and related MS technologies to research
problems in a stimulating academic research environment.
