anti foam analysis - FTIR

Does anyone know of any analysis methods to quantitate the amount of anti
foam M in a sample? - anti foam M is a mixture of polydimethylsiloxane
fluid and silicon dioxide added to fermenters (bioreactors) to prevent
excess foaming. We need to develop an assay to show clearance from cell
culture solution. I've heard that FTIR and atomic absorption are possible
methods for this, but i have no previous experience of knowledge of these
methods. Anyone know anyone who can do them on a contractual basis?
preferably UK based - or any other methods that we can apply?
thanks in advance,
Derek Ellison
