Hello Phyllis,

depending on how large the amount of samples is you're working with, we
have made very good experiences with the Millipore 96well plates filled
with G50 superfine for removing BigDyes. We have also tried ready-made
preswollen plates from BioRad and Qiagen. The results are comparable albeit
they are more expensive and we had sometimes problems with a breakthrough
of the dye terminators. The latter reason is why I am a bit uncomfortable
with the preswollen products. I assume this problem arises from cracks in
the bed caused by rough handling during transport which can not be avoided
and is not visible before you worked up your samples...
Hope that helps.

Yours sincerely,
Marcus
