Have you tried simply washing to dried MALDI "spots" with water? Pipet a
few microliters of water onto the spot, wait 20 sec, remove water, redry,
Sometimes, if sample has a lot of salt, its necessary to repeat. We've
also had good success using 0.1% TFA to desalt difficult peptide samples,
but your samples might respond to dilute ammonia instead.
