I prepped a 310 ABI capillary for long term storage using the protocol suggested by the company. It was not used for several weeks. When I re-installed the capillary and ran samples- they all failed. I installed a new capillary and re-ran samples without any problems. I'm wondering- has anyone found a technique to salvage capillaries that have had minimal use ( ie- less than 25 runs!!!) and long term storage? Our lab is just beginning to sequence and we don't have high throughput as of yet. Any suggestions on long term storage of capillaries?
