Dear ABRF members,

I am interested in using mass spectrometry for drug discovery purposes.
I would greatly appreciate any information concerning the following
questions that I have. I will be happy to collect any responses, and
pass them on, as I'm sure many ABRF members can make good use of the
information.

Here goes...

Which is the more appropriate technique for drug discovery applications
in general, electrospray or MALDI-TOF?

What results have been published (or at least shown in a product
brochure) that demonstrate utility in drug discovery applications?

What are the limitations of MS for drug discovery? (in other words, what
could go wrong?)

Can MS be used to screen any of the following assays?:
protein-protein
protein-peptide
protein-small molecule
nucleic acid-protein
nucleic acid peptide
nucleic acid small molecule

Can you please email back your reply, and if there are any relevant
brochures available, please send them.

Thank you very much in advance for your efforts.

Mark
