Dear ABRF,
Can anyone suggest any UK based facilities capable of carrying GC based
lipid analyses to GLP? we have methods from initial studies but we need
rapid method validation and sample analysis to meet some unpleasant
regulatory deadlines and don't have the internal resource. Given the
timeframes involved it must be someone who is experienced in handling lipid
as the sample preparation has to be to exacting standards. I'm already
talking to M-Scan but they are very expensive.

On another matter we are also looking at starting up an in house gel based
carbohydrate assay (fluorescence labelling) - there are a number of
commercially available systems, some more available than others given the
recent demise of UK based Oxford Glyco Sciences. Does any one have any
recommendations, good or bad experiences to share?

Thanks as ever for the help and advice, sorry for the legal disclaimer that
follows this email - I can't do anything about it - it's added
automatically, please no witty barrage of abuse this time! It could be
worse, i could attach one the many mission statements, quality initiatives
or corporate values statements that are floating about my department!
