I contemplated this a few years ago and didn't get any good info
and just didn't have time to work it out for myself. I tried contacting
PE- but all they could say was that it was theoretically possible but had
never tried it ( at that time).
I have some info somewhere - where I think they did it on an Alf or
Licor??
Here they are:
Long-Range and Highly sensitive DNaseI footprinting by an automated DNA
Sequencer, Biotechniques, Vol 23, No.2 (1997), p 300.
Nonradioactive, Solid phase DNAse 1 footprints analyzed on an ALF DNA
Sequencer.
Biotechniques, Vol 17, No. 3 (1994), p. 474
If you get any more recent info or decide to try it yourself,
please keep us posted.
