We run MacOS 8.1 on the system's original 7200 (plus some memory). no
problems at all. Too lazy to test higher versions and we removed the need
to run network or productivity apps on there so there's no pressing reason
to push it.
I would be interested in hearing from those who have use 8.5.1 or 8.6
I doubt there are a lot of issues between the analysis software and newer
system versions. It would seem that if the company has not (will not) done
testing, they aren't going to say they support a change.
