Hello Angela,
I haven't seen any replies to you, so I will put in my two cents worth. I
have quantitated free leucine from rat liver extracts on my Beckman 6300.
The investigator uses a salicylic acid precipitation of the proteins (it
worked better than perchloric precipitation). I took several aliquots of
the supernatent (different amounts), dried them down, and resuspended in
Na-S. The proceedure worked well and reproducibly. The results for the
controls agreed with literature values. If your investigator would like
the exact proceedure, I can dig it up.
Good Luck!!

Weather Inconsequential: A beautiful crisp sunny day. The leaves are off
of all the trees I can see from my window. Hope you all had a great
Thanksgiving!
