Hi, Paul - UM is almost *giving* these G4's away just to get us to retire
older macs (incompatible with planned network upgrades). No splurge at all -
but the monitors they have with these are hulking monsters with a desktop
footprint like Bigfoot. :)

Kewl - first I've heard of V3.4 - even the Support Tech didn't "bother" to
mention it.

yeah - now I've proven it's not MacOS9 that's the problem. Same symptoms
on 8.6 <sigh>. it's gotta be the G4.

I've done all but the last one - but heck, I'll reformat the hard drive.
I love being able to say I've tried *everything*. :)
