| The Mission of the ABRF is to advance core and research biotechnology laboratories through research, communication, and education. Consistent with this mission, and to strengthen groups drawn together by factors such as geographic region or specialty, the ABRF has implemented a new organizational substructure - ABRF Chapters and Affiliates.
ABRF Affiliates and Chapters will:
* Support the association of core laboratory managers, researchers, students, and others with similar and complementary interests.
* Facilitate regional or special interest meetings that will help promote networking, education and communication.
* Educate potential ABRF members regarding the value of ABRF membership. The Affiliates and Chapters Committee is composed of ABRF members who represent both existing chapters and ABRF leadership. This committee will develop meeting/organization guidelines and resources, assess applications from new groups desiring to form chapters or who wish to become affiliated with the ABRF, and will also provide recommendations for chapter/affiliate application approvals to the ABRF Executive Board.
